Terms of service

Last updated: [date]

Draft. This page is being checked by our solicitor and may change before Peza opens to everyone.

These terms are an agreement between you and Hart & Sibs Accountants Ltd, trading as Peza ("Peza", "we"). By creating an account you agree to them. If you use Peza as a consumer, nothing here takes away your legal rights.

1. What Peza does

Peza is software for HMRC's Making Tax Digital for Income Tax. It lets you keep records of your self-employment and UK property income and expenses, see what HMRC expects from you and when, and send quarterly updates and final declarations to HMRC. When you connect Peza to HMRC, you authorise us to send the information you approve to HMRC on your behalf.

Peza is software, not an accountancy service. Using it doesn't make you a client of Hart & Sibs Accountants, and Peza doesn't give tax advice. HMRC works out your tax. Peza shows HMRC's calculation, but you're responsible for your tax affairs and for what you send.

2. Your account

3. Free trial and plans

4. Cancelling

5. Your responsibilities

6. Availability

We work to keep Peza running and to fix problems quickly, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. HMRC's systems are outside our control. If Peza can't send something because of a fault on our side, we'll help you get it sent as soon as we can.

7. Our liability

8. Suspending or closing accounts

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after warning you where we reasonably can. If we close Peza entirely, we'll give you at least 60 days' notice and a way to download your records.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts. Please contact us first at [email protected], so we can try to put things right.
